Uncle John`s Place in Mansfield

The food was very good. The service was not quite as good. The seating is very limited. I can understand a wait for a table, but my group of three waited at the entrance for a full five minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. Once we were seated the food was delivered quickly. The portions are generous and filling. Despite the small stumble at the beginning of our visit, I'd recommend Uncle John's for a quick bite to eat.

Our first time at this restaurant, it was terrific! We enjoyed the atmosphere, food was delicious and good sized portions, waitress was excellent. We will definitely go again when we are in the area! Highly recommend it.

Food was generally good. Ordered the classic iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese dressing which came with a slice of actual blue cheese. A very nice touch. 3 stars for poor service and loud punk rock music playing overhead. We were there for a lunch on a Wednesday music should should have been softer. Service wise our waitress kept on forgetting utensils, water salt and pepper. She was nice but I had to stand up after a while of waiting for water.

Nice decor. Rude staff, more concerned with whose wife was doing what rather than greeting two customers at the bar. Food, not bad but fries extremely greasy, burgers were greasy as well. I will say however the wedge salad is outstanding and its presentation is pretty cool. Not a bad place, but definitely could do with some customer service training.

Awesome food! Philly Cheese Steak Burger is the absolute best!

If you want a burger this is the place. Atmosphere is that of a friendly pub. Staff and service was super friendly and on point. First time visiters that we where they were happy to make suggestions from the vast menu. Cheese sticks where hot and melty. Home made from what we could tell. Marinara sauce was sweet and a great accompaniment. Food came out super fast. Like we had ordered ahead. Wife had the turkey sandwich. Was very tasty. Lots of grilled turkey and added cheese. I had the Italian stallion burger and it was fantastic. One of the top sellers. Burger was hot and juicy. One of the best I have had. Home cut fries and not just a few where crisp and fresh. Now the price was way too cheap for food and service of this quality. I consider this a must go to spot any time your in town. And we are from PA.

The Gargazola Burger is PHENOMENAL! Asked for it to be cooked medium, was cooked to perfection! Great service, waitress was right on it! Wish I could remember her name, but I don't. It's a small place, but, well worth a visit! I'll be back!

Anything I get is always super scrumptious. Today I had the pickle brined fried chicken meal. The chicken came out beautifully, golden like a sexy nugget. Then bit into an explosion of pickle and super moist chicken. It was to die for. The service is always on point. Love this place.

I loved my Reuben Burger and fresh cut fries!! The price and service was good. I would return here over and over again if I was a local! Oh, wait. I did return. I tried their Reuben sandwich and onion rings. They were also good. I eat Reuben sandwiches everywhere I travel. This one is a good sandwich but did not make the top five. I would stick with that Reuben Burger here. Now that's a masterpiece!

Love it, order the steak, (if you like steak) you won't regret it!

Great server with quick and attentive service, I am sorry that I didn't catch his name. The food quantity is massive, quality is outstanding at affordable price. Unique art on the walls and I love the old restored wood. This place is cozy. Plenty of choices of alcohol, good coffee.

Great place to eat if you're ever in Mansfield. Chicken tenders were huge! I had the Philly cheese steak burger but subbed egg for peppers and onions. It was delicious! Our waitress was on top of drinks and very friendly. We will definitely visit again!

I have been here on several occasions and i have always been very satisfied with my choices. They have great hamburgers good sized and made the way you want them. They also have a Philadelphia cheesesteak that will make you feel like you are in Pennsylvania. My only regret is the waiting. It doesn't matter how short it always takes too long. 😉

We had the hot turkey sandwich, BLT, french fries, hamburger and side salad. Food was fresh, hot and good quality. Nobody had any complaints about the food and thought everything tasted great. Service was friendly but not the most observant. We had to ask to have the table wiped down. We also had to wipe down are own chairs. Restaurant needs to focus more on cleanliness to be worthy of receiving 5 stars. Menu could also be improved and found the prices to be reasonable.

Philly cheesesteak sandwich fell apart on the first bite and was mostly onions and peppers with hardly any steak and cheese. Beef vegetable soup only had a beef broth base with no chunks of actual beef in it, and the vegetables were almost entirely green beans that were very mushy. Felt like I was eating soup made several days ago. The French fries were the best part of the meal. However, our waitress Amanda was wonderful! She comped us a few dollars for the sub-par food. Don't know if we'll return.

Beautifully appointed step back in time. Great food. Vintage long bar with full list of cocktails and beers. Ample metered parking in the square across the street.

We really enjoyed Uncle John's Place. Cindi our waitress was very kind and attentive. We shared their famous 'Cheese Steak Burger' (I think that was the name). It was delicious!! Cindi even shared our lunch on 2 plates. We will surely go back when we're in the area.

Outstanding! A wonderful establishment, extremely reasonably priced, with very good service. I had the Philly Cheese steak burger which was awesome with a side of hand cut fries. The service was stellar, the waitress kept our water topped of and saw that all our needs were met. If in Mansfield this is the place to eat!

Good food, small restaurant, if you go at dinner, be prepared to wait, out the door. But the food made up for the wait.

Our first time after living here for a long time.We picked it to have our older son as his dad to be his best man!!Our server Tara was AWESOME!! It's so nice when you have a server who is good. I hope this establishment realizes how good she is.We will be back!! The food was so GOOD!!

Waited to be seated for like 20-30 min. Waitress was kind but the food was plain, not much of a selection, soup was smooshy and my boyfriend ordered mozzarella sticks he had to wait almost the entire time we were there for the sauce that goes with the sticks

One of Mansfield's best kept secrets. I try to make a stop here with my dad every time I'm in town. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food at a great price in a friendly, cozy diner atmosphere.

First time there, had a short wait, other people waiting were very friendly, the service was great, food great. Would gladly eat here again.
